Please bring your ID document so you can be identified by border police before the start.
Danube Bridge will be closed for traffic during the time needed to ensure safe passage of all participants.
Please follow the instructions of the organizers and volunteers for a safe and enjoyable experience.

On 27th of September 2026 (Sunday) will be held the 9th edition of Free Spirit Run Ruse-Giurgiu. Unique and one of a kind the start is in one country and the final in other. The principle of rotation exchange the start and final each year. In 2026 the start of the 15 km route will be in the town center of Giurgiu, Romania and the final in Ruse, Bulgaria. 

The course is mostly flat and passes through the main attractions of the both Danube’s towns.

Crossing the border is without stopping on the 2 km long bridge connecting both coasts.

The event capacity is 480 registered in advance participants – professionals or amateurs.

Each participant receives unique event medal, t-shirt, transportation from/to the start/final.

The minimal age is 18 years. Every participant must have the the right to legally stay and travel on the territory of Bulgaria and Romania.
