Please bring your ID document so you can be identified by border police before the start.
Danube Bridge will be closed for traffic during the time needed to ensure safe passage of all participants.
Please follow the instructions of the organizers and volunteers for a safe and enjoyable experience.

480 participants, registered in advance with confirmed registration fee paid.

REGISTRATION
The event registration is only online, filling special registration form on this website.

TRANSPORTATION & LOGISTICS OF THE PARTICIPANTS
The participants will be transported with buses from/to the start/final. Before the start every participant can leave their personal luggage which will be transported to the final from where it can be received after finishing.
For the start – the details for leaving from Giurgiu will be announced 2 weeks before the event.
Returning of the participants coming from Bulgaria – the details for leaving from Giurgiu will be announced 2 weeks before the event.

ROUTE
Start – clock tower of Giurgiu, Romania
Final – “Freedom” Square – Ruse, Bulgaria
Terrain type – asphalt
Terrain description – The route is overall flat and has a total ascent of 60 m and has a maximum elevation of 48 m
Route Description – The route starts in front of Freedom square in Ruse, Bulgaria, runs through the main landmarks of Ruse, pass the Danube river through the Friendship Bridge, runs through the main landmarks of Giurgiu and finish at clock tower of Giurgiu.

RULES FOR PARTICIPATION
The participant have the legal age of 18 to the date of start;
Fullfil the mandatory registration form and have paid registration fee;
Provide valid ID for identity check when receiving the starter’s kit;
Agree to take all responsibility for his / her participation. The organizer cannot be held responsible for any accident or damage that runner may suffer as result of participation in this competition.

RACE TIMING
Electronic system will be used for participants race timing. It is mandatory to all participant attach the bib number on the chest. It is forbidden to detach or ruin the timing chips which will follow to disqualification of the participant.
The time of every participant will start running after passing the the starting line (net time)

RANKING
General ranking with all of the participants in categories male & female;
Additional ranking only for male/female in categories 40+ & 50+;

DELIVERABLES
Medals for the first 3 men and first 3 women in category;
Every participant who finish the race will receive jubelee medal and T-shirt.

MONEY PRIZES

There are money prize for the first 8 in the general ranking male/females. Additional bonus prize is for the fastest 3 male/female in the age category above 40 and above 50 years old. The prize could be accumulated. Example: 1st place in the general ranking is also 40+ so will receive 1st place money award + 1st place for 40+ money award.

RULES DURING THE RACE
Racing number to be worn on the front of the participants shirt
Follow strictly the route and pass all checkpoints during the race
Throw garbage close to the refreshment area but not further than 50 m
Everybody who doesn’t follow those rules will be disqualified.
